I love to photograph families , capturing those special moments and memories that become part of your familys history.
My style is classic and simple , I look for the smiles , the gentleness and the love.
When I’m not taking photographs you will find me baking , watching movies – I’m a little bit of a geek and adore Star Wars, or out walking Ted – our lovely Rescue dog who often comes to the Studio with me and is a great model!
There is a dedicated childrens studio with beautiful vintage sofas and props that we can use to style the session , and a larger family studio for those wonderful occasions when all the generations come together. There is plenty of space and you can even bring the dog with you!
WHAT DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH?
Pretty much everything !!!! I photograph children , families both large and small groups , pets , horses, small Weddings and Elopements ……
I am mainly a Studio photographer but as we have such beautiful locations on the doorstep both in West Lancashire and also in Southport and Formby then location sessions are also incredibly popular – we often head to Formby Pine woods or to Fairy Glen in Parbold – wherever your family loves to be.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY PHOTOSHOOT?
This is probably the question that is asked most often….and there is no easy anser but there are some great guidelines.
Keep it simple – wear clothes that you love and feel comfortable in and you will be more relaxed in the session – if you buy something new then make sure you try it on and love it before you come along
If there are a few of you coming for the photoshoot then chat about what you are all going to wear – you dont all have to match – unless you want to- but avoid clashing colours and patterns.
For children , always bring a couple of outfits – again make sure they fit before you come , if they have a sports kit or superhero costume they love then why not bring that along too ?
Always bring a brush and maybe some wetwipes for the children.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The sessions usually take place in my beautiful Studio in the Village of Banks in West Lancashire – very close to Southport, and Ialso head out on location for gorgeous outdoor sessions through the year . The session taks about an hour and always starts with a chat to make sure I know exactly what it is you want from the session – there is the opportunity to use my beautiful vintage props and theres a variety of backdrops and sets that can be used to make your session and your photographs unique.
The fee for the session is £50 and this is paid in advance to book your appointment , then the beautiful frames and wall art start from £195 and I have samples of different styles in the Studio for you to choose from
HOW DO I BOOK?
Its easy to book – you can use the contact form at the bottom of the website or you can e mail me directly at email@example.com.
A couple of things to consider before you enquire – let me know if you need a weekend or weekday session – I work weekends but these do tend to book up quickly so plan ahead . Think about whether you need to work around nap times or snack time for little ones – I tend to find that mornings are better for children to come to the studio .
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Great question! This is the exciting part – the anticipation of seeing your beautiful photographs! After the session I arrange an appointment for you within about a week or so , for you to come and order your photographs . I will have chosen the absolute best ones from the session and edited them to a high standard ready for you to see and I cannot be held responsible for how much you love them!
You place your order at this session and then they will be ready for collection about 2-3 weeks later depending on the product
I only do one ordering session so its important that you come along with anyone who may want to place an order.
