I am a strong believer that Family photography is incredibly important , to be able to look back in years to come and see everyone together in a photograph is magical – most of the time Mum or Dad is missing from many of our day to day photographs as they are the ones behind the camera. Coming to the Studio for a family portrait session is wonderful , and I have had up to 4 generations coming together for sessions which is amazing.

Often , grown up children move away and Family photography sessions take place when everyone heads home for a special occasion such as a Birthday or Anniversary or around Christmas time. Sessions can take place either in the Studio in Southport or on location.

If its a large family group then you may want to think about a list of the groups of people that are to be photographed, Mums and Dads and their children , groups and individual shots of the children, sibling shots ….

I know that we , as grown ups often hate having our photograph taken , we avoid being in front of the camera , but I always gently encourage Mums and Dads to be on the photographs with their children , its so lovely to see photographs of the whole family together.

Families , Mums , Dads , children , the dog – its so lovely to record your family history with a photoshoot. There may be a new baby in the family , or a family reunion . You may want to capture milestones in the lives of your children , starting School or heading off to University or travelling. We often have Grandparents bringing their Grandchildren in for a photoshoot ,so all the cousins are together and we have had 4 generations in together!

So find a reason , any reason to bring your family to the studio and lets create some wonderful memories for you
